Garbo 1951 In 1936 Cary Grant ended his Paramount contract. Grant then signed a seven-year contract with RKO with script approval. Cary Grant knew his worth by this time. His first film for RKO was Sylvia Scarlett with Katharine Hepburn. Hepburn and Cary Grant would become friends on the set and would co-star in three more films together. Several memorable film classics would emerge from Cary Grant's time at RKO:
