FASHION
Grant: The Well Dressed Man

Garbo 1951For years, Cary Grant was one of the best-dressed men in the United States. In real life, Grant always appeared in public elegantly dressed and polished, even when he was a young man on Broadway. He was a man of 6 foot one and a half inches in height with broad shoulders. It was known that in private, Grant always kept his wardrobe in precise order, everything stored and carefully protected. He always purchased the best tailored clothing and shoes that money could buy, making sure they would last for years. This habit was reflected in his films in which he was always impeccably attired and groomed. Many times he wore his own suits and jackets in his films.  After all, his father had been a presser of men's suits, so Cary Grant was well advised in the value of a good suit.
